Understand How the Brain Works to Sell More and Serve More

Every business owner that I talk with would like to sell more so they can serve more. Chefs want to sell more so more customers can enjoy their specialty cuisine. Non profits want donors to give more so they can help more clients. Fashion stylists want to help more customers look their best so they can feel more confident.

Fortunately you don’t have to work harder to accomplish that.

Most entrepreneurs waste an enormous amount of time and money promoting their business. Websites are created. Promotional emails are sent. Facebook posts are posted. Networking events are attended. Webinars are created.

What if it’s not about spending more money, redesigning your website or spending hours on social media?

What if it’s not about working more hours, buying more ads or attending every networking event possible?

Fortunately you don’t have to work harder to accomplish that. How can you maximize your time and energy and work smarter?

The secret to selling more so you can serve more is understanding how the brain works and tailoring your message to meet the needs and desires of the human brain. Here’s how:

  • Our brains are always looking for the easiest and most energy saving way to work. If your message is complicated, too lengthy, or in some other way confusing, potential clients won’t listen and won’t remember it. Make sure your message is short, clear and direct.
  • Our brains remember stories more than a series of facts. Present your product or service using the elements of a short and concise story to make it more memorable.
  • Our brains need to be told what to do to purchase your product. Make sure your call to action is clear and direct but not pushy or complicated. Never assume it is obvious what people need to do.

Remember: People don’t always buy the best product… they buy the product with the best message.

Make sure your message connects.
